Victim Survivor Thriver

View this post on Instagram

This is a visual depiction of the different mindsets we may experience when healing from trauma. It’s important to note that this is not one size fits all, nor is it linear. Healing from trauma is messy and it is possible to one day feel like you identify with the “thriver”, and the very next day feel like you’re in the “victim” mindset again. Each of these stages plays an important role in the healing process, and neither of them are necessarily better or worse than the others. Moving through these stages can be a painfully beautiful thing. No matter where you’ve come from or what you’ve been through, it is possible to thrive again. Maybe thriving will look different for you than it did pre-trauma, but maybe it will feel sweeter than ever before.💛
